The Milan Furniture Fair 2016 confirmed the trend in interior design that sees suspended furniture as the leading player in the living room (and not only there).
In addition to being original and functional, suspended furnishings give rooms a feeling of amazing lightness and dynamism because they eliminate the need for traditional legs and bulky stands, as they are wall-mounted. In some cases you can insert a backlight system that provides a light source from behind and creates an amplified depth effect that seems to make the piece of furniture float in mid-air.
In the wake of this trend, today we are introducing to you:
AIR – the suspended storage unit with sliding doors from the Concept line by Caroti
This sideboard has a door in solid ash with indented “Bonseki” workmanship, while the second one can be upholstered in faux leather, leather and nubuck in a variety of colours with satin or burnished steel inserts. Inside the cabinet there are 2 transparent glass shelves, 8 mm thick, with polished and bevelled edges, also available in smoked glass. You can also have the rear bottom part in smoked glass and LED interior lighting with motion sensors for automatic switching on and off.
The opportunity to choose from over 1,000 different matching combinations of materials (solid wood, body lacquering, coatings and steel) allows you to customise this suspended, entrance-hall furniture fitting to suit every kind of home style, from an industrial style loft to a romantic style apartment, or from a modern minimalist villa to a natural chic open-plan house.
